Service Engine 1000

The SE 1000 is the mid-range carrier grade member of the Service Engine family.  It is designed for high performance network applications where traffic reporting and control is required in medium to large service providers POPs and data centers.  Each SE 1000 is able to meet the needs of the most demanding service provider requirements with:

• Stateful classification of up to 1 Million concurrent IP service flows at wire speeds
• Support over 100,000 concurrent subscribers
• Provides 2 Gigabit Ethernet and OC-48 traffic interfaces
• Redundant AC or DC power supplies and cooling fans
• System by-pass mechanism for full network service assurance
• Carrier grade platform that is NEBS Level 3 compliant

The SE 1000, with its 1.5 RU compact form factor, brings powerful analysis capabilities and active application control in a small compact package.  It can be used for high performance network usage analysis as well as IP service control applications where speed, customer loads, and reliability are all critical to the service provider.  The SE 1000 has been deployed by customers in environments where conventional flow collection was impractically voluminous, and service control was simply not detailed enough.  The SE 1000 can handle more flows and concurrent subscribers at high wire speeds, making it unique in its price/performance range.  Service providers consistently choose the SE 1000 for their networks when uncompromised performance and flexibility for rapid ROI is a must, and IP service control is seen as the enabling technology for profitability.
